Duty reduction spurs Russian shipments

Exports of products from the FSU were up sharply last month following reductions in Russian export duty. Exports hit 16.61mn t in January, up by 21pc from December and by 20pc from January 2014. The increase was driven by significant hikes in gasoil and diesel exports, which rose by 38pc on December and by 35pc on the year to 5.24mn t last month.
