CPC Blend for Ukraine

Ukraine’s 363,000 b/d Kremenchug plant, the country’s only operational refinery, is boosting runs by adding imported CPC Blend to its regular slate of Ukrainian crude. Plant owner Ukrtatnafta, which is still controlled by Igor Kolomoisky’s Privat group, plans from now on to buy two 85,000-90,000t cargoes of CPC Blend every month. It has taken three so far — two 85,000t cargoes delivered on 1 September and 6 October from Azer- baijan’s Socar Trading, and 90,000t delivered on 23 September from Lukoil trading arm Litasco. Socar Trading sup- plied cargoes produced by Tengizchev- roil and Karachaganak Petroleum Oper- ating (KPO), and Litasco shipped KPO crude.
