Primorsk 10ppm loadings to rise

Exports of 10ppm sulphur diesel from the Russian Baltic port of Primorsk are scheduled to hit 1.3mn t during Octo- ber, a big rise on September’s schedule. The increase reflects the end of maintenance programmes at a growing number of Russian refineries, as well as the lower rate of export duty in October — down by $8.50/t compared with September to $43.90/t. Only Gazprom- neft and New Stream — owner of the 150,000 b/d Antipinsky refinery — will reduce exports. The reduction in exports from Antipinsky comes as a result of maintenance last month, although in the longer run the refinery is expected to increase production (see box, below).
