Azeri crude exports slip

Exports of crude and condensate from Azerbaijan fell to 17.8mn t (729,000 b/d) in January-June from 18.1mn t in the same period last year after output dropped to 21mn t from 21.2mn t. The biggest fall was in shipments through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipe- line. Socar Trading used the BTC route to ship Turkmen crude produced by Dragon Oil, Mitro and Malaysia’s Pet- ronas. Loadings of BTC Blend consist- ing of Turkmen crude rose to 1.8mn t from 1.4mn t on higher output.
