ExxonMobil plans BTC Blend sales

ExxonMobil will start selling BTC Blend crude on a regular basis from June. It will deliver 80,000 t/month (19,123 b/d) of Azeri Light to the 1.2mn b/d Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, which is now exported by rail to Batumi in Georgia. The firm could ship about 500,000t through BTC this year. It exported a trial 50,000t cargo though BTC in May last year. Exxon- Mobil is the only shareholder in AIOC that does not to use the BTC line, which was launched in 2002.
