Ventspils sulphur switch under way

The Latvian port of Ventspils will start receiving Russian 10ppm sulphur diesel by pipeline from the end of March, market participants say. This will follow the start of alternate flows of 10ppm and 50ppm product. Gazpromneft’s 560,000 b/d Omsk plant and Bashneft’s Ufa refineries will ship 10ppm, while Rosneft’s Samara refineries will supply 50ppm. Alternate flows will be split into 30,000-50,000t batches, market participants say. Transneft is still considering the alternate supply scheme, it says.
