NNK to up Vladivostok capacity

NNK is considering expanding its products terminal at Russia’s far-east port of Vladivostok to 4.5mn t/yr from 3mn t/yr, finance and economics direc- tor Sergei Lobachev told this month’s economic forum in Vladivostok. A final decision on the Rbs10bn ($150mn) project has not yet been made, but if it goes ahead it will take about five years to complete. The ter- minal handles product from NNK’s 90,000 b/d Khabarovsk refinery and other producers. NNK does not plan to suspend loadings to carry out the work, Lobachev said. The project entails upping storage capacity to 194,000m3 from 161,500m3, boosting loading rates and dredging the berth so that it can take vessels with a 10m draught, up from the current 6m.
