Forecast of changes in Russian and Ukrainian currency markets

After several months of fluctuation (partly due to easing of the regulator’s rules to sell foreign exchange earnings), the rouble exchange rate has reached an equilibrium in August. If current trends persist, it may last until the end of autumn, but there may be some volatility. However, sanctions on oil trade will come into force in December (possibly in form of a price ceiling), so any form of these restrictions will affect the market.
