Nymex front-month WTI has jumped by more than 13/bl in less than two weeks, and reached an intra-day record of 101.32/bl on 20 February. Increased hedging by end-users, short-covering by non-commercial investors and colder weather in the northern hemisphere pushed Ice front-month Brent to an all-time high of 99.22/bl on the same day.
