Shell and Vitol get testy over gasoline

A simmering row on the Rotterdam gasoline barge market erupted on 13 June,as trading firm Vitol said Shell was consistently delivering off-specification product in spot deals. Vitol has begun to include a clause in spot contracts insisting that a mutually agreed inspector is present before product is loaded,and who can examine gasoline in tank.
