Light sweet fields near start-up

Three new crude streams will swell Asia-Pacific supply this year and into early 2008.The start-ups could depress light sweet crude prices and potentially increase the flow of light sweet crude out of the region.Malaysia's Kikeh field,the Puffin field in Australia and the Tui field in New Zealand are expected to add at least 110,000 b/d by the end of this year.When Kikeh production peaks next year,it will bring the output increase to around 200,000 b/d(see table).
