A survey released this summer by the Atlanta-based Gozio Health, a mobile engagement platform company, paints a mixed picture of the landscape around consumer-facing mobile application adoption in healthcare. As explained in a July 18 press release posted to the company's website, there is significant interest among healthcare leaders around the subject of consumer-facing mobile apps; but progress towards leveraging such apps to advance strategic organizational goals remains weak. As the press release notes, "Nine out of 10 healthcare executives believe a well-designed, consumer-facing mobile application would help their organization achieve its digital strategy goals, according to a recent survey commissioned by Gozio Health, an industry-leading location-aware mobile engagement platform provider. What's more, 82 percent of health system executives plan to increase investment in patient-facing mobile technology over the next three years."
