Jet fuel gains strength

Jet fuel markets have tightened in the Mideast Gulf,as aviation sector demand rises and Asia-Pacific and European refinery shutdowns have boosted exports.And strong diesel demand is encouraging refiners to divert some of the jet cut into the diesel pool.Spot cargo premiums to benchmark assessments have hit record levels of just under 4/bl.And jet crack spreads for Mideast Gulf refiners running Dubai crude have risen above 30/bl for the first time this month (see graph).
