Saudi oil minister Ali Naimi issued a statement last week attempting to reassure markets that Riyadh has enough spare capacity to meet demand.Saudi Arabia is"well prepared to meet all the requirements of the international oil companies if they need additional volumes,relying on its surplus production capacity of 1.3mn b/d,"it said,adding that the extra capacity can be brought on"immediately".
