The UK’s Unite union has announced a further eight days of strikes at eight Shell-operated platforms in the North Sea, after union members staged a 24- hour walkout on 26 July. The action is being taken against oil service firm Wood Group, which has a contract to carry out maintenance and other services at the platforms.
