Libyan oil is returning to market. Crude and condensate has been offered from storage and from restarted production, but the amounts are small, and full output is some time away (AGM, 29 August, p2). Libya’s Agoco has restarted some production at its Sarir field and has sold a 1mn bl October-loading cargo. Trading firm Vitol has sold at least one of two Mellitah condensate cargoes from stor- age to Austria’s OMV. A Mellitah crude cargo has been offered with 1-15 October loading dates. But the sale depends on the restart of Italian firm Eni’s Elephant field, which could be in two weeks.
