Russian seaports turnover remains at last year level

According to the Association of Commercial Sea Ports (ASOP), Russian seaports handled a total of 340.7 million tonnes of cargoes during the period started January 1 and ended May 31, 2022, which is almost equal to the volume reported in the same period of 2021. The handling volume of dry bulk cargo amounted to 155 mmt (down 6.3), including 77.7 mmt of coal (down 6.8), 13 mmt of grain (down 9.8), 11.2 mmt of ferrous metals (down 11.5), 8.3 mmt of mineral fertilizers (up 8.1), and 5.5 mmt of ore (up 26.9). Russian ports also handled 21 mmt of cargo in containers (down 17.2 ). The handling volume of liquid cargo amounted to 185.7 mmt (up 6.0). A total of 269.3 mmt fell on export cargo (down 1), 15.4 mmt on import cargo (down 5.4), 27.4 mmt on transit cargo (up 3.2), and 28.6 mmt on coaster shipments (up 10.9).
