The Global CFI has remained almost unchanged in spite of sharpening slowdown on the small-tonnage shipping market. Rates have totally stalled in the Azov Sea, the Mediterranean region, as well as in the Baltic and North Seas. In the Black Sea region, the rate decreases on some routes have been offset by hikes on others (the BlSea CFI has edged down by the tiniest $0.04/t). Despite another surge in bunker prices, owners succeed in getting record-high TCEs as for June.
