Light sour Abu Dhabi Murban crude cargoes are heading to northwest Europe as ample Asia-Pacific sour supplies have left Mideast Gulf benchmark Dubai lagging behind North Sea Dated's price gains (see upper graph). Shell is taking a VLCC of September-loading Abu Dhabi to its refining system in northwest Europe. Softer demand from China and steady supplies of Russian ESPO Blend have left the September Asia-Pacific market well supplied with sour crude.
