Opec ministers signalled their intention to keep the group's 24.84Smn b/d production ceiling unchanged ahead of their meeting in Vienna on 14 October. "I do not expect much will be done at this meeting. I am not expecting a major change," Libyan state-owned NOC chairman and effective oil minister Shukri Ghanem says. But ministers are expressing mounting concern over inflation. Crude prices have remained largely within the $70-80/bl range favoured by ministers, but the prices of some other commodities imported by member countries have risen.
