A 1mn bl Black Sea-loading medium sour Urals cargo is scheduled to go transatlantic early this month. US Valero is likely to take the cargo to its 215,000 b/d St Romuald refinery in eastern Canada. The grade's discount to US competitor Mars has fluctuated over the past month (see upper graph). Transatlantic freight rates for a lmn bl cargo from the Black Sea have fallen by 800/bl a three-month low of around $1.70/bl.
