Naphtha and distillate prices bore the brunt of a more than S3/bl drop on crude markets. Gasoline remained relatively firm compared with other European oil products. Naphtha prices fell by more than 6pc to $611/t on lower crude markets, weak petrochemical sector demand and continuing oversupply in Europe and Asia-Pacific. Naphtha's discount to gasoline widened to more than $70/t, the widest reforming spread since early April (see graph).
