Caspian light sweet BTC Blend is heading to North America from Turkey's Mediterranean port of Ceyhan. The grade is competitive relative to similar grades in the US Gulf coast market, and is trading at a discount of more than S3/bl to US Light Louisiana Sweet (LLS) crude (see upper graph). At least 65,000 b/d of BTC Blend is going transatlantic in January.
