Russian fuel oil heads to US

Exports of Russian fuel oil to the US have jumped this year. At least 110,000 b/d of high-sulphur fuel oil was shipped to the US, mostly to the Gulf coast, from Baltic or northwest European ports in April. This followed 85,000 b/d in March and 185,000 b/d in February. Exports are well up on US-bound flows of around 60,000 b/d last year.
