Mexico's crude production was 2.63mn b/d in the first half of this year, down by 200,000 b/d on the same period a year earlier. Falling output from the Cantarell oil field is largely to blame for the drop in production. Mexico's crude exports - most of which go to the US -fell by 215,000 b/d to 1.24mn b/d.
