Ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD) prices in New York Harbor have firmed, as trading firms seek spot supplies to make up cargoes for delivery to Europe.Freight rates to northwest Europe and the Mediterranean from New York Harbor are lower than those from the US Gulf coast. Gulf coast refiners and trading firms are shipping ULSD to New York Harbor on the Colonial pipeline to take advantage of these lower costs, with the aim of putting together cargo shipments for Europe.
