摘要

In the paper an approximate analytic solution of the energy equation for the cylindrical part of the arc column is given. On the basis of the theory of two-layer arc the coefficient of arc heat transfer is determined for stream plasmatrons operating with various kinds of gas. A method for calculating the temperature distribution for an arc compressed between the walls of a discharge chamber is presented. It is also demonstrated that the results obtained by this method are to a large extent convergent with experimental data.
