摘要

The paper deals with the basic features of the current- and voltage harmonics and power factor generated by AC railways, theory and methods of current harmonics propagation modelling and the overhead line properties which are essential for the harmonics transmission via traction substation into the power system. Some results from the measurement accomplished in the transformer station as well as on the laboratory model are also presented, together with the suggestions for the mentioned impacts elimination by means of filtering and compensating stations and/or active filters.
