Atlantic basin sweets start to sink

Demand for low-sulphur grades remains strong,but Atlantic basin sweets edged down from recent near-record premiums to their benchmarks.In the North Sea market,an overhang of mid-month Oseberg cargoes dragged both the grade and dated BFO into a sharp contango for most of the week,before selling out.Oseberg's weakness pulled other grades lower.The emergence of the first November loading programmes was likely to pressure sellers to reduce offer levels in order to move remaining October-loading cargoes.
