Surging demand from US refiners for gasoline-rich grades has coincided with rising Indian demand for light sweet crude and lengthy Nigerian production shut-ins,pushing up prices.Gasoline supply concerns are mounting in the US.Falling stocks and the phasing out of blendstock methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) from gasoline have caused US gasoline crack spreads to surge from us5/bl at the start of March to almost us25/bl,encouraging refiners to seek gasoline-rich Nigerian grades.
