Niger delta group claims ceasefire, groups vie for cash

Nigerian rebel groups and factions in the Niger delta are competing to secure payments from the government as Abuja seeks to restore oil production in the troubled region. Peace talks have been taking place since June and appear to have borne some fruit after leading rebel group the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) said it will continue an unofficial ceasefire.
