Nigerian oil frm NNPC has resumed partial refnery runs at its Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna refneries after carrying out repairs at the plants and to pipe- lines supplying them. The refneries have a combined capacity of 445,000 b/d, but operated at less than 5pc of that in the frst 11 months of last year. This led to acute domestic fuel shortfalls and a greater need for imports. Criminal damage to pipelines and delayed subsidy payments to fuel importers further tightened the market. NNPC wants the refneries to produce nearly 65,000 b/d of gasoline by the end of this month, up from just over 40,000 b/d now.
