Distillates close gap with gasoline

Gasoline prices fell sharply in the US as the peak demand period came to an end and the market grew accustomed to the fact that some Gulf coast refineries will be down for weeks if not months.But losses on distillates were smaller as reduced output pushed heating oil above gasoline in the Gulf coast,even though heating oil stock levels remain healthy.
