New shipping capacity from the midcon- tinent and Gulf coast and regional refin- ery restarts have eased fears over product supply shortfalls in the US northeast. The EIA now projects a 50,000 b/d products deficit for the region, largely in low-sul- phur distillates, following a specification switch in New York state.
