Crude prices rose as markets braced themselves for the impact of Hurricane Rita on US Gulf coast crude production and refining,barely three weeks after Hurricane Katrina caused havoc in Louisiana.WTI and dated BFO rose by more than US2/bl over the week to US66.44/bl and US64.54/bl,respectively as Rita developed from a tropical storm into a powerful hurricane.
