US pulls in supplies

The strength of light sweet Nigerian grades Bonny Light and Qua Iboe relative to rival light sweet Algerian Saharan Blend,and a wide WTI/Brent spread,has resulted in extra volumes of Saharan Blend moving transatlantic (see upper graph).High freight rates have made the arbitrage for 80,000t (600,000 bl) cargoes unworkable,but at least four Imn bl cargoes loading in the first half of October already have buyers in the US.
