Net profit of Bulgarian Energy Holding jumps nearly five times y/y in 1Q23

Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) reported a net profit of BGN201.9mn (€103.2mn) for the first quarter of 2023, significantly higher compared to the BGN48.2mn net profit posted a year earlier. In Q1, BEH posted a total operating profit of BGN196.2mn, reversing an operating loss of BGN1.5mn in the first three months of 2022. Financial revenue stood at BGN46.9mn in January-March, down from BGN74.2mn a year earlier.
