Bahrain unifies all efforts to boost the Agriculture industry

Indeed, providing adequate consideration for the Agriculture sector to ensure food security and reduce the food gap have become a most important goal for a government. They implement various agricultural projects and initiate training programs that improve the skills of farmers and introduce them to the latest technologies and good practices. Government focuses on all aspects of sustainable agriculture development especially on livestock and fisheries, given its vital role in food security. Sustainable agriculture requires the restructuring of producers, buyers, investors, regulators, traders, wholesalers and retailers, as well as consumers to breaking perverse practices that encourage soil depletion and agro business favoritisms, while promoting water conservation, higher producer incomes and protection of biodiversity.
