The Libyan Iron and Steel Company produced 465427 of long products during the first nine months of this year against 438567 tons in the same period in 2008, i.e., up by 6 percent , while the company's production of flat products declined by 40 percent , i.e., a decline from 377 thousand tons in the first nine months of 2008 to 276 thousand tons in the same period in 2009.
