Saudi Arabia: Saudi Iron and Steel Company 《Hadeed》: 19 percent increase in production of first nine months of this year

The total sales of the Saudi iron and Steel Company 《Hadeed》 of long and flat products during the first nine months of this year amounted to 3.315633 tons against 2.926877 tons in the same period of 2006. i.e.. up by 13.2 percent. The sales to the domestic market during the first nine months of this year accounts for 89 percent of the total sales, 72 percent long products and 28 percent flat products. It is worth noting that the total sales of flats increased during the comparative period in 2007 by 26 percent over the level of 2006. Most of the sales concentrated on the hot roiled products of which the production amounted to 619131 tons during the first nine months of this year against 391510 tons in the same period of 2006. i.e., up by about 58 percent.
