Crude dips on tepid demand, firm supply

Crude prices fell in most regions, as northern hemisphere temperatures rose, refi neries entered maintenance and the war of words over Russia’s annexation of Crimea failed to infl ict any immediate energy supply casualties. Atlantic basin crude benchmark North Sea Dated fell by $1.38/bl to $105.72/ bl in the week to 20 March, while US light sweet marker April WTI climbed by $1.23/bl to $99.43/bl as it approached expiry. But US Gulf coast sour Mars fell by 21￠/bl after the sale of crude from US strategic stocks.
