Australia moving towards standardised climate change reporting

Last month, the government published a consultation paper which is seeking initial views on key considerations for the design and implementation of the government's commitment to standardised, internationally‐aligned requirements for disclosure of climate‐related financial risks and opportunities in Australia. The paper noted the steady increase in demand for disclosure by investors and jurisdictions mandating disclosures aligned with the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
