The output of the Egyptian tracts of the British company Melrose Resources averaged 197.9 million cubic feet/day of gas and 5,900 barrels/day of liquids in the third quarter of this year (of which its net share amounted to 82.8 million cu ft/day and 2,500 b/d respectively). That represented a total volume of 40,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, of which 16,800 boe/d reverted to Melrose. The company sold its output at average prices of $2.79/'000 cu ft for gas and $71.73/b for crude and condensate.
