French contract research organisation Staphyt (Inchy-en-Artois) has acquired Brazilian peer business Phytus Group. Staphyt says that Phytus is the largest CRO in Brazil. Phytus initiated its operations with a research station in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul 20 years' ago, and later expanded its operations to another research station in Formosa, Goias. The company is accredited by Ministry of Agriculture regulations, IN36, IN42, IN53, and Inmetro (BPL), which allows Staphyt to offer a large array of services, the French business says.
