FMC wins another chlorantraniliprole patent infringement case in China

A Chinese court has ruled in favour of FMC in a patent infringement lawsuit relating to its insecticidal active ingredient, chlorantraniliprole (trade-marked as Rynaxypyr), against four Chinese firms. The Zhengzhou Court has found Henan Yongfeng Chemical, Suqian Haide Pharmaceutical and Chemical, Xinxiang Runyu New Material Technology, and Wang Shichao guilty of infringing FMC's composition of matter patent for a key intermediate used in the manufacturing of the ai. The businesses have been ordered to compensate FMC for related damages.
