Corteva expands share buybacks by $2 bn

Corteva Agriscience is more than doubling its current share buybacks with a further $2 billion committed to the programme. The company's board of directors has approved a move for immediate repurchase, and granted management discretion in determining the conditions under which shares may be purchased. The company had already planned since August last year to repurchase shares worth $1.5 billion, of which $650 million was outstanding as of June 30th, 2022. That came on the heels of the $1 billion in repurchases from two years previously, following the spin-off of Dow DuPont, bringing the running total of the past three years to $4.5 billion.
