EU to extend approval periods for 45 agchem ais

EU approval periods for 45 agrochemical active ingredients are to be extended by one year. The proposed extensions from the European Commission were voted through by EU member states earlier this month. A new approval expiry date of October 31st 2023 will apply to: the herbicides, bensulfuron, chlorotoluron, clomazone, flufenacet, MCPA, MCPB, and prosulfocarb; the plant growth regulators, daminozide, sodium 5-nitroguaiacolate, sodium o-nitrophenolate, and sodium p-nitrophenolate; the insecticide, deltamethrin; the nematicide, fosthiazate; the fungicide, fludioxonil; and the acaricide, tebufenpyrad.
