Canada PMRA proposes registration of Andermatt's microbial ai

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has proposed the registration of Swiss biologicals company Andermatt Biocontrol's (Grossdietwil) microbial active ingredient, Beauveria bassiana strain R444, and the end use bioinsecticide, Bb-Protec. The ai is intended for the control of two-spotted spider mites (Tetranychus urticae) and whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci) on a wide variety of greenhouse ornamental crops and food crops, including those grown for transplanting, and cannabis grown in greenhouses and enclosed structures.
