PepsiCo/ADM join hands for regenerative agriculture

Soft drinks manufacturer PepsiCo has agreed a “strategic” commercial deal with US agricultural processor Archer Daniels Midland (ADM - Decatur, Illinois). The collaboration is to span nearly eight years and focus on projects that aim to “significantly” expand regenerative agriculture across the partners' North American supply chains. Initiatives under the partnership will highlight regenerative agriculture practices such as cover crops, reduced tillage, nutrient management, and responsible pesticide use, among others. The companies intend to provide technical and financial assistance to participants, besides offering access to peer regenerative farming networks, and tracking results using third-party measurement systems.
