Decco acquires TeleSense

UPL's post-harvest pesticide business, Decco, has acquired US Internet of Things (IoT)-based grain monitoring service TeleSense (Sunnyvale, California). The development follows UPL agreeing a strategic collaboration with the company in February last year. TeleSense leverages scalable sensor technology on an artificial intelligence (AI)-based platform to monitor temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in stored grains and other crops. It notes that the “portable” sensors keep an eye on various parameters and “automate” the early detection of potential problems such as hotspots, excess moisture, and pests, among others. The platform can be accessed through an app.
